Dear SSYO Family, We hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits. The beginning of each calendar year is an opportunity for us as an SSYO staff to stop and take a look at where things are at the midpoint of our fiscal year. It also is a good time for us to revisit some of our goals and objectives that we set back in the spring of the previous year.
So, we have a choice to make as a staff. We can either maintain a hopeful and optimistic mindset and work through the various challenges, or we can choose to be hopeless and pessimistic while we try to figure things out. Which do you think shows the young lives we serve here to be strong and stable? Of course, it’s the first option. Choosing to remain hopeful and optimistic through life’s inevitable twists, turns, and tumbles is what enables us to keep going and not give up. Plus, it keeps things like morale, culture, environment, and energy high and positive. Part of “Building Strong, Young Lives” is exemplified to the students here at SSYO by us as a staff living hopeful and optimistic lives. This doesn’t mean living wishful or unrealistic lives, but lives that show the conscious and intentional decision to stay positive, optimistic, and hopeful. Despite all the current challenges in life, we have nothing but faith in GOD that HE will lead and guide us through these times. Just as HE always faithfully has before. Thank you all for remaining hopeful and optimistic partners and supporters of the mission here at SSYO. We appreciate each and every one of you. Take care and GOD bless you all! Sincerely, Jake Moevao
