Hello SSYO Family.

We hope you’re all doing well & have had a great summer thus far. This summer seems to have flown by even faster than most normally do. You’ll all be glad to hear if you haven’t already, that RISE Summer School last month was a booming success once again as we were able to allow a few more students than last year to attend. Safety & precaution were our highest priorities, while still ensuring our amazing Summer School Staff were able to continue doing Their annual Summer School magic! And of course, they did not disappoint.
Now, we’re only a couple of weeks away from diving into a new school year. We can’t wait to have students back on the property in order to get to know them & continue our mission of “Building Strong, Young Lives.” While we don’t know exactly how all of the details will go heading into this new school year, we as a staff are doing all we can to prepare for any & all scenarios & situations.
Throughout these past 12-18 months, there’s been a tremendous amount of uncertainty & instability all around us. As the acting Executive Director here at SSYO, I can assure you of this: we are praying, thinking, planning & preparing in order to create as stable & as consistent of a loving environment here at the property for these precious kiddos. One of our main “Pillars” of how we build strong, young lives is by “Creating a Healthy Family Culture.” A foundational part of a Healthy Family Culture is stability & security. Over the past 12-18 months our staff has achieved that goal in every program & done it in excellent fashion. We don’t have all of the answers for all that’s going on in the world right now. But we do know that SSYO will continue to work tirelessly at protecting & improving the Healthy Family Culture here at our facilities for the youth of our city.

Thank you all for Building Strong, Young Lives through your prayers, donations & other contributions. We’re going to get through this challenging season together as a family, one step at a time. You have my word. Blessings to you all.

Sincerely,
Jake Moevao
