It’s no secret that 2020 has been a year full of unexpected obstacles and surprises for the world. What started as a year full of ambitious plans and dreams has quickly become a halted and frustrating time for many of us!
One month ago, our blog was titled, “Delayed but Still Determined.” That phrase has become integral to the staff here at SSYO during this season of the Covid-19 pandemic. One thing is true for SSYO as much as it is true for all of you reading this: The pandemic has changed the way we operate, but it has not changed who we are. Our mission at SouthSide Youth Outreach is to build strong, young lives so that the community will thrive. That goal remains at the heart of what we do, even now.
It’s a wonder so much can change in such a short time.
Hello SSYO Fam,
The bottom line is that it takes many people like yourselves, to keep this Family healthy & moving forward. Every prayer, every volunteer hour, every dollar, & every donation, is equally precious & valuable to moving the mission of “Building Strong, Young Lives” forward. Plainly put, the mission of SSYO cannot be moved forward without the generous & loving partnerships that between our leadership team & all of you.
Thank you all for your continued support. Thank you all for believing in SSYO. Thank you all for your faithfulness. And thank you all for choosing to “Build Strong, Young Lives So That Our Community Will Thrive.” We promise as a leadership team to continue putting your resources to good use, to love the youngest members of our SSYO Family with integrity & excellence. We love & appreciate y’all very much!
