Can you imagine showing up in a foreign country where the language, customs, food, and culture are unlike anything you’ve ever experienced? For some this might sound like a grand adventure, but for a refugee family, this would likely be very intimidating and perhaps scary.

Dear SSYO Family,
We hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits. The beginning of each calendar year is an opportunity for us as an SSYO staff to stop and take a look at where things are at the midpoint of our fiscal year. It also is a good time for us to revisit some of our goals and objectives that we set back in the spring of the previous year. Dear Friends of SSYO,
Happy New Year to you all!!! We hope the holidays brought good cheer and much joy to you all. The transition into a new calendar year is always an exciting time of freshness and chances to reset, refocus, and recalibrate as needed. The staff here at SSYO definitely feel all of the above. Merry Christmas SSYO Family! We hope you and yours are well this holiday season. As we head toward Christmas, the thought of “Precious Gifts” has been on my mind. After all, Christmas is when we celebrate the most precious gift of all: JESUS. When it comes to the priceless gifts here at SSYO, the individuals that GOD’s brought onto the leadership team come to mind. One of the most critical tiers of that leadership team is our Board of Directors. Just like our staff, this group of phenomenal individuals is among the absolute best Boards around!!! They all love JESUS. They all have impeccable character. They’re all extremely wise and intelligent. They’ve all got decades of leadership experience. And, they all have exceptional reputations around town.
