Can you imagine showing up in a foreign country where the language, customs, food, and culture are unlike anything you’ve ever experienced? For some this might sound like a grand adventure, but for a refugee family, this would likely be very intimidating and perhaps scary. 
Dear SSYO Family,
We hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits. The beginning of each calendar year is an opportunity for us as an SSYO staff to stop and take a look at where things are at the midpoint of our fiscal year. It also is a good time for us to revisit some of our goals and objectives that we set back in the spring of the previous year. Dear Friends of SSYO, Happy New Year to you all!!! We hope the holidays brought good cheer and much joy to you all. The transition into a new calendar year is always an exciting time of freshness and chances to reset, refocus, and recalibrate as needed. The staff here at SSYO definitely feel all of the above.
